Step One, Who am I???

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." ~ Loazi, Chinese philosopher

As I look ahead to the next 16 months of high school visits, cooperating center decisions, lesson plan writing, student teaching and finding some way to put together a "teacher" outfit each day until spring graduation 2021, I keep reminding myself to take it one day at a time. This final leg of my college career will train me to become the best teacher I can be, and it all starts with here with my first blog post.

Over the next year and a half I will be posting updates on my experiences, but to start off I would like to tell you all a little about myself.

I grew up on my family's dairy farm in Central PA and I enjoyed raising and showing dairy beef steers for 4-H and FFA. This is where my love for Ag started!

My friends and family are the most important thing in my life, and I wouldn't be here without them.

I love to travel! So far I've been to Belize, China and Chile, as well as many places around the US. I'm very interested in International Agriculture and I love to see the many different ways we grow food around the world.

I can't wait to see where this journey leads me!
